We're seeking a Business Development Representative to bolster The CyberRisk Collaborative (CRC) expansion efforts by employing vigorous prospecting, cold and warm outreach, meeting setting, and closing business. CRC is one the nation’s fastest growing community of cybersecurity leaders. Our success is rooted in a community-centric methodology that has earned the trust and loyalty of our members and creates unique value for our technology partners. CRC provides a range of offerings include executive boardroom dinners, one-day Summits, and digital opportunities focused on thought leadership and branding. This position demands enthusiasm for researching, engaging, prospecting, and sealing new business deals. The individual should possess experience in selling events such as conferences, trade shows, virtual events, or intimate roundtables in a B2B sales setting. We are a high-performance team looking for someone who’s comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in aggressively finding new business.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop, and source new business to exceed event and territory revenue targets
  • Consistently open doors to new customers through re-engaging dormant accounts and focusing on large potential clients not currently working in the CRC business unit.
  • Articulate CRC’s value proposition through a thorough understanding of the entire portfolio, competitive landscape, and full understanding of customer goals.
  • Understand key product differentiators and CRC’s USPs in a highly competitive and crowded cyber security event landscape.
  • Quickly develop a solid understanding of the cybersecurity marketplace and the key market drivers
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and activities in the CRA CRM system, ensuring the sales pipeline is up-to-date and properly managed
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns, share market insights, customer insights and feedback.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of sales experience in pure business development roles
  • Ability to use all tools available to source new business leads and flesh out the right contacts including but not limited to LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LinkedIn Recruiter, Zoom Info, etc.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to forge relationships with clients, understand their objectives and recommend optimal strategies.
  • Experience in Salesforce CRM
  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while working independently.
  • Understanding of b2b marketing solutions including custom content, research, and advertising a plus.
  • Knowledge the IT and cybersecurity markets plus
  • Highly organized, motivated self-starter, multi-tasker, comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to shape narratives supported by data.
  • Collaborative team player with exceptional relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to regional events across the US
  • Contributes to a culture of transparency and accountability and has a track record of operating with high-integrity and honesty.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, and value creation
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in AI technology

Job Information (NYC)
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, CRA is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account numerous factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to a candidates' qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and location.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 to $75,000, which does not include other compensation benefits package.
