Director of Demand Generation Location: NYC or Remote
Role Overview We’re seeking a results-driven Demand Generation Marketer to build and execute targeted marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads and drive revenue growth. This is a high-impact, strategic role that requires deep expertise in B2B marketing, marketing automation, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand generation at a cybersecurity startup and a track record of creating scalable, high-converting campaigns that align with sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Demand Generation Strategies
Plan and manage multi-channel campaigns (email, LinkedIn, paid media, content syndication, etc.) to drive high-quality leads for our sales team.
Leverage ABM (Account-Based Marketing) techniques to engage high-value cybersecurity vendors.
Optimize Lead Generation & Conversion
Use data-driven insights to track, measure, and optimize campaign performance, ensuring continuous improvement in MQL-to-SQL conversion rates.
Test and refine messaging, audience segmentation, and targeting strategies to increase engagement and pipeline impact.
Marketing Automation & Analytics
Implement and manage marketing automation tools to scale lead nurturing and improve conversion rates.
Track and report on key metrics, including CAC, LTV, pipeline velocity, and campaign ROI.
Sales & Marketing Alignment
Work closely with the sales team to ensure marketing efforts align with revenue goals and provide qualified opportunities that convert.
Develop sales enablement materials, nurture sequences, and playbooks to support the sales process.
Qualifications Must-Have:
2+ years of demand generation experience at a cybersecurity startup.
Proven track record in B2B lead generation and pipeline growth
Strong understanding of LinkedIn organic and paid marketing channels.
Strong proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo)
Experience with marketing analytics and using data to optimize campaigns.
Deep understanding of B2B marketing strategies and cybersecurity buyer personas.
Strong collaboration skills with sales teams to ensure seamless marketing-to-sales handoff.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and drive measurable results.
Familiarity with LinkedIn, Google retargeting strategies.
Understanding of the cybersecurity industry and its unique marketing challenges.
Job Information (NYC) For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, CRA is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account numerous factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to a candidates' qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $120,000, which does not include other compensation benefits package.
