Job Title: Senior Content Producer, MSSP Alert Location: Remote - Anywhere, US Reporting to: Editorial Director
Premier cybersecurity IT channel news and analysis destination MSSP Alert, a division of CyberRisk Alliance, is seeking a multifaceted Senior Content Producer with a strong background in cybersecurity journalism, B2B reporting and a solid understanding of the IT channel. Candidates are expected to have a proven track record producing a wide range of related content including daily news, long-form features, interviews and in-depth analysis. Responsibilities also include contributing to webinars, on-camera interviewing, special projects and adhering to the highest journalistic standards.
What you will be doing:
Produce high-quality, exclusive content in the IT channel security space with an emphasis on meeting deadlines. Scope of content includes news as well as all stages of publishing from assigning stories, editing content and working with creative team to ensure published content presents well.
Full participation in editorial strategy sessions, including brainstorming new ideas for features, topic areas, or new content formats/story-telling approaches; ideas for building traffic and audience engagement; ideas for tools or platforms to help with our editorial goals. Familiarity with AI tools while maintaining best practices and ethics.
Management or assist in management of select special editorial and/or commercial projects and oversight of freelance teams. Work closely with sister site Channel E2E and SC Media editors to promote collaboration.
Participation in travel and trade-show coverage is expected. Participation in social media efforts to drive traffic to site and to further develop a professional audience.
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates must have proven understanding of the Managed Security Service Provider
(MSSP) market and the Managed Service Provider (MSP) market.
Deep knowledge of the security industry
Impeccably organized, detail-oriented and operations-minded.
Strong writing, editing, project management and presentation skills.
+10 years as a journalist editing and creating publish-ready content for a technical and/or B2B savvy audience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven news and project environment.
Demonstrated interest or experience in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, and value creation.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in AI technology
Members of the MSSP Alert team are expected to set high standards in every aspect of their work, including general behavior, professionalism and representing MSSP Alert externally. Success will be measured by the timeliness and quality of writing, as well as analysis for longer pieces, the ability to hit deadlines, and representing and raising awareness of the MSSP Alert brand.
Job Information (NYC) For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, CRA is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account numerous factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to a candidates' qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000 to $80,000, which does not include other compensation benefits package.
